With this orientation, we have chosen K Hospital – Tan Trieu Facility (Hanoi) as the destination on the journey “Sharing and spreading love” in 2022.

On the afternoon of December 13, 2022, NanoFrance representatives were present at the Hospital's Social Work Department to meet with patients being treated here!

Why did NanoFrance choose K Hospital – Tan Trieu Campus as its destination?

This is the leading hospital for cancer treatment in the North!

Why did we choose K Hospital – Tan Trieu Facility (Hanoi) as the destination for this journey of sharing love? This is one of the “leading” hospitals in the treatment of diseases related to Fibroids in the Northern region as well as in Vietnam.

The difficult "battle" for life of cancer patients!

Cancer is also one of the most dangerous diseases in Vietnam as well as many other countries in the world. According to 2020 data, the rate of new cancer cases in Vietnam has increased by 9 levels and ranked 90/185 countries. And in Vietnam, it is estimated that there are about 185,563 new cancer cases and 122,690 deaths from cancer.

The "battle" to save the lives of cancer patients is very dangerous, difficult, and painful, requiring patients and their families to be well prepared in terms of: Economy, Psychology, Time, and Health.

For patients and their families, economic pressure is probably the biggest problem when the cost of each treatment is not cheap. In addition, living expenses for relatives, lack of income due to patients and caregivers being unable to work during the treatment period... All these factors make the "war" on cancer more difficult than ever!

Patients had to give up due to lack of money for treatment!

When sick, patients must follow the doctor's treatment regimen with many chemotherapy and radiotherapy sessions during the year. Treatment for cancer patients is covered by health insurance. However, there are many cases where patients do not have enough money for treatment due to:

• Not yet paid health insurance
• Have paid health insurance but not enough time required so still have to pay a part
• Chemotherapy chemicals are not covered by the list of payments.

Treatment for cancer patients is a "long-term battle", causing a great economic burden for cancer patients and their families.

There is a family of 5 people with cancer at the same time.

At K Hospital – Tan Trieu Facility, there are many cases where families have 2, 3 or even 5, 6 people being treated at the same time. Lack of income, expensive treatment costs – These are especially difficult cases and need help and sharing from the community. 

Patients must accept risks in their journey to regain their lives!

According to the person in charge of the Social Work Department: During the process of infusing chemicals into the body, the patient must accept facing problems such as: body fatigue, skin problems, bone marrow toxicity, shock, and even death.

We realized that what we know about cancer patients is only “hair cannot grow”. In reality, patients suffer much more pain!

Give a small gift but big feelings!

In this activity, NanoFrance sent 25 gifts to families and patients in difficult circumstances being treated at K Hospital - Tan Trieu Facility, each gift was cash worth 1 million VND.

This is just a drop in the bucket compared to the burden that patients and their families are having to shoulder while being treated here. But we still hope that this gift will help improve the difficulties in daily life!
